Rio Tinto, paisaje Lunar.

Río Tinto de uno de los ríos más extraños de España y estoy seguro que del mundo. 

Discurre  en su totalidad en  la provincia de Huelva.

El color rojo del agua se debe a los metales pesados que hay  ​​en el agua, que provienen de los depósitos que hay  a lo largo del cauce.

Sus aguas son muy ácidas aunque se  pueden tocar, pero son tóxicas y no es óptima para el riego o el consumo.

En la carretera entre La Palma del Condado y  Valverde del Camino a encontrar un puente donde se podrá pasear por la antigua vía férrea del tren, que transportaba el mineral de las minas de Río Tinto en el puerto de Huelva, donde fue enviado

Incluso en estas condiciones, hay algunos organismos que viven en el agua, el paisaje es increíble, a veces te parece estar en Marte o la Luna.

Rio Tinto is one of the most strangest rivers in Spain and I´m sure in the world.

It runs in the province of Huelva in southeastern Spain

The red colour of the water is the result of the heavy metals in it,   that comes from the deposits along channel.  These waters are very acidic although can be touched, but are toxic and not optimal for irrigation or consumition.

On the road between La Palma del Condado and Valverde del Camino you can  find a bridge where you can have access to go  along the old rail way of the train, that carried the mineral  from  Rio Tinto mines to Huelva´s port , where it was shipped.

Even in these conditions there are some living organisms in the water, the scenery is amazing , sometimes you you think you are on the Moon or on Mars.

Medellín

Medellín  es uno de esos lugares especiales que encuentras por casualidad. Tiene un castillo maravilloso, y un gran puente y, por supuesto, gente encantadora.

El Río de Cartuja

Estas fotos son del Río de Cartuja (El Guadalete) en su paso por  Jerez y tras su desbordamiento en 2011.

Las fotos son de los puentes que cruzan el río en la Carretera  de Medina. El viejo puente algunos lo llaman  "El Puente Romano"  aunque por supuesto que no es romano;  el nuevo se encuentra en la autopista.

Los dos o tres últimos años hemos tenido algunos desbordamientos del río en esta zona, con problemas importantes a las personas que viven cerca.

These photos are of the Cartuja River (Guadalete) in Jerez after 

its overflow in 2011.

The photos are of the bridges that cross the river in Medina´s way. The  old bridge  is call The " Roman Bridge" by some local people,  but  of course it is not roman;  the new one is  in the motorway.

The last two or three years we have had some overflows of the river in this place, with important problems to the people living near it.

Paseo por Logroño ......

Vaya por delante, que lo mejor de Logroño son los Logroñeses.
Son hospitalarios, están orgullosos de su ciudad, de sus vinos, de su exquisita gastronomía, .... y  puedo asegurar que todo es cierto.
Pero también hay en Logroño   maravillosos lugares como  el entorno del río que es uno de mis favoritos,  casi siempre paseo por allí cuando voy a la empresa que represento, Imprenta Moderna.
Como una gran cantidad de ciudades de España Logroño recupera el entorno del río como un lugar hermoso para caminar, para hacer deporte, etc ...
Estas fotos son del Ebro a su paso por la ciudad, es septiembre, el verano se ha ido, y las noches son cada vez más cortas, la luz ......

Go ahead,  the best of Logroño are the Logroñeses, the people who live there.
They are hospitable, they are  prideful of their city, of their wines, of their food, .... and I can assure that it´s true.
There are a lot of marvellous places to visit , the river enviroment is one of my favourite, I always walk when I go to the company I represent, Imprenta Moderna.
As a lot of cities in Spain, Logroño recovered  the river environment as a beautiful place to walk, for footing, etc....
This photos are from the Ebro river  where it crosses the city, it´s september, the summer has gone,  and evenings are getting shorter......

Desde Valdevaqueros - Salvar el Palmar. 2º

Desde Tarifa  en dirección Cádiz, están algunas de las mejores playas vírgenes del mundo. Hay kilómetros de costa con sólo unos pocos edificios y pueblos marineros. El fuerte viento y como aseguran algunos algunos abuelos,  para tratar de ocultar a los alemanes que viven en la montañas desde el final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial ...., hicieron que esta zona no interesase en el bum de las vacaciones en la playa en los años sesenta y setenta.

Hace unos años, Tarifa se convierte en uno de los lugares más importantes para practicar Surf y Kites Surf en el mundo. Esto hace que una gran cantidad de jóvenes lleguen a Tarifa, a Los Caños de la Meca o a  Conil,.....para la práctica de deportes náuticos, lo que produce un gran cambio social y económico en la zona.

El problema  es que el los tiburones han olido sangre y quieren  aprovechar este tirón para construir un extraordinario Resort, hotel o lo que sea en la  maravillosa y virgen Playa de El Palmar.

Hay mucha gente   en contra  de este disparate  y  una asociación que  intenta detenerlo. Aquí está el enlace: "www.salvarelpalmar.es"

La situación muy conflictiva ya que ofrecen  de puestos de  trabajo a una de las zonas mas deprimidas y con mayor tasa de parados en España ....

Las fotos son de la playa de Valdevaqueros muy cercano y similar a El Palmar, estoy seguro de que será el próximo si construyen el primero.

From Tarifa to Cadiz, you can find  the best unspoiled beaches in the world.   There are Kilometres of unspoiled coast and only a few buildings and villages.  The strong wind and ( like some local old people, tell), to hide the secret of the German people who live in the montains near Zahara,  since the end of the Second World War....,   made that this area was not interesting in the  boom  of the beach holidays in the sixties and seventies.

A few years ago Tarifa becomes one of the most important places to practice Surf and Kites Surf in the world and consequently lot of young people came to Tarifa, to Los caños de la Meca or  to Conil, to practice  surf,  this situation  produced a great social and economic change.

The problem was that the business Sharks  smell  blood, taking advantage of this change, now  they want to build an extraordinary  Resort in the wonderful  unspoiled  El Palmar beach.

There is a lot of people  fighting against this situation and there is also an asociation  trying to stop it. Here you are  the link: "  www.salvarelpalmar.es"

It's a very dificult situation because they offer  a lot of  work to an area  with the highest number of  unemployed people in Spain....

This photos  are from  Valdevaqueros Beach very near and similar to the one of El Palmar , 
I´m sure it will be the next, if they build the first one.
